CFA undertakes evidence-based research to generate evidence for informing and influencing policy and advocacy interventions. Through this strategy, CFA provides well researched, empirical, credible, and accurate policy briefs, reports, working papers on thematic and topical issues relevant for promoting public policy discourse on fiscal transparency, accountability, and prudent utilization of public resources at the national and sub-national levels of government.

Policy analysis to understand and appreciate different policy directions, emerging issues, and their effect on the general well-being of the citizenry is an integral part of CFA. We base our interventions on evidence generated from our research in priority areas. We are cognizant of the intersectionality that exists between different sectors and as such, we apply both qualitative and quantitative data as the basis of our advocacy programmes.
